The Joyful Mysteries
The Rosary follows a weekly cycle, with different mysteries assigned to each day. Each set contains five mysteries from the life of Christ. There are five decades on the Rosary. On each decade- you meditate on a Mystery.
The Joyful Mysteries are one of the four sets of mysteries in the Holy Rosary, a cherished Catholic devotion thatinvites us to meditate on pivotal moments in the life of Jesus Christ and His Mother, Mary. These mysteriescenter on the Incarnation and early life of Jesus, emphasizing themes of hope, humility, and divine intervention inhuman history. They are traditionally prayed on Mondays and Saturdays (and Sundays during Advent). This mystery describes the angel Gabriel appearing to Mary, a young virgin in Nazareth, to announce that she will conceive Jesus by the Holy Spirit. Mary, though surprised, says "yes" to God: "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." This is the moment God becomes man in her womb—the start of our salvation. It shows Mary's trust and obedience. When praying, think about saying "yes" to God's invitations in your life, even when they're unexpected, and ask for faith like hers.
